Will talk about:
- What research says about youth and stress
- Types of stress and recognizing mind-body symptoms
- Impacts of toxic stress on the brain, health, and learning
- Preventing and managing stress with healthy coping skills
- How parents can help their child cope with stress

JUNIORS -- WE NEED YOUR PICTURES!! Juniors, do you have pictures, from your years at Northwood, that you would like to appear in the NHS School Calendar for your senior year (school year of 2013-14)? PTSA is looking for students and parents (but mostly students) to submit pictures representing the Class of 2014. Picture Ideas:Clubs - Seasonal - College Interests - Have Fun! - Be Creative! School Spirit - Sports - Arts - Music - Dances
Pictures will be reviewed by school administration for appropriateness and chosen by school staff. Not all pictures will be able to appear in the calendar, due to space limitations.
Please submit your photos to president@northwoodptsa.org or text to 949/701-9427, by Friday, May 10th.

STUDENT STORE VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR NEEDED Patty Garber, our current Student Store Volunteer Coordinator will be retiring at the end of this school year. She is very happy to help train her replacement. What will it take? Most of the work on the calendar is done in July and August. The volunteer list is an on-going process. Graduating volunteers are purged from the list and new volunteers added over the summer. Additional volunteers will be added after fall registration. Throughout the year there are occasional shift changes that are made. If you are interested, please email Patty (garber09shrm@gmail.com) ASAP so she can get started working with you.
